New Zealand Wine Dinner - Wednesday, Aug 27, 2008 $95.00 per person plus taxes and gratuities The Dining Room at Mirbeau hosts a series of Wine Dinners throughout the year that feature wines from regions around the world. The menu is meticulously created by Executive Chef Edward Moro so that each wine is paired with a taste that will delight your palate. While New Zealand is most famous for its world-renowned and utterly distinctive Sauvignon Blanc, especially from Marlborough, it has far more to offer from a wide variety of white and red grapes. In fact the New Zealand wine industry is characterized by diversity and innovation, and the excitement this generates is palpable. The largest single reason for the excitement is the limestone-based soil. In New Zealand, limestone soils that also occur in areas climatically suitable for grapes are extremely rare. Limestone may have different characteristics to that found in Burgundy Menu check back for our menu
