Abs and Lower Body with Sue

This a half hour class which emphasizes inner and outer thigh work, abdominal and gluteal exercises, squats, lunges and deep stretching.

Cardio Blast with Janice

Have a BLAST of fun during this energetic 60 minute class that focuses on enhancing cardiovascular fitness with 35-40 minutes of easy-to-follow aerobic moves (low and high impact are demonstrated for your specific preferences). The last 20 minutes are devoted to upper extremity strengthening, abdominal toning, and flexibility.

Cardio Combo with Sue

This class combines step aerobics and floor aerobics along with hand weights, squats, inner and outer thigh exercises, kickboxing, abs and basic stretching. Every muscle group is utilized in this high energy class. The class time is one hour.

Morning Bootcamp with Debbie & Sue

Lace up your boots and prepare for an hour of cardio, strength and flexibility TRAINING!  We will begin with a dynamic stretching followed by 20 minutes of lower body, 20 minutes of upper body and 10 minutes of intense abdominal exercises.

Morning Walk

Talk a 60 minute walk into Skaneateles and discover the history of this beautiful village!

Open Gym w/Personal Trainer Debbie

Take advantage of this opportunity to maximize your strength training workout.  Personal Trainer, Debbie Bobbett will be available in group setting to answer questions regarding your workout and recommend progression techniques. Personal Training is available upon request for an additional cos).

Pilates with Susie Birchenough

Pilates is a challenging series of exercises designed to strengthen and tone the core (abdominal muscles). Pilates is mind~body oriented: intense physical concentration, along with proper breathing, is necessary to reap the immense benefits derived form doing the exercises properly. It’s not what you do; it’s how you do what you do! This class will teach the correct technique and flow, resulting in increased strength, flexibility and balance.

Pilates for Abs with Allison

This program is structured for participants of all fitness levels and is designed to strengthen and tone the abdominal core. By utilizing breathing techniques, participants will develop a strong abdominal core, while optimizing postural endurance and joint stabilization.

Time to TRI!!! with Debbie

This class is designed for tri athletes who are looking to stay healthy in the off season. Training programs are based on USAT recommendations.

Vinyasa/Power Yoga with Tina:

Incorporates Hatha yoga poses in a specific sequence designed to create muscle symmetry while moving with core integration to protect the back. The student is also taught how to access energy, breathe control, mindfulness training, and will explore how to release all tension with savasana pose. Modifications are offered to those new to yoga or recovering from an injury. You’re encouraged to practice at your individual level. It is helpful to have some previous knowledge of yoga or to be involved in a fitness program that involved flexibility and strength training)

Yin Yoga/Therapeutic stretch:

Long held stretches to rehabilitate the bodies’ tissues which lead to freedom of movement and lowered tension (safe for all levels) a wonderful compliment to your workout to restore and re-energize the body & mind. The class ends with a deep relaxation and a brief meditation session.

Yoga with Judiann

Judiann guides the 90 minute yoga class incorporating movement with breath and intention (vinyasa). The yoga postures are a synergistic blend of several traditions and the practitioner is guided into a moving meditation intended to cultivate more awareness and relaxation. This is a challenging class but all levels of ability are welcome to attend.

 

 

 

 

 

Cardio Boxing with Heidi

A cardiovascular and muscle Strength & Conditioning workout with various exercise stations that focus on all aspects of fitness. Boxing techniques are incorporated in some stations.

Cross Training with Allison

This workout develops muscular strength, burns fat and increases cardiovascular fitness.  The format for this challenging workout includes alternating 3 to 5 minute intervals of aerobic activity followed by 2 to 3 minute intervals of strength training for the upper and lower body.

Meditation/Relaxation wth Tina

An opportunity to indulge in letting go. Learn simple yet effective tools to transform our busy minds and stressed out body to a state of calm, and deep inner contentment which leads to radiant well being.

Mirbeau Running Club

Heading out for a run? Not sure where to go? Pick up a 2-10 mile running route at the spa reception desk! We will be recruiting participants for our running club Fall 2007! 

Power Step Aerobics with Allison

This energizing workout is designed for individuals who possess a high level of physical fitness. Stepping incorporates a low impact workout that delivers an overall leaner body while targeting a healthier heart. Cardiovascular Intervals on and off the step are incorporated into this high intensity step routine.

Sculpt & Tone with Debbie

Join us for a total body workout. This class will incorporate cardio, strength and flexibility!

Sports Strength & Conditioning with Maggie

This class will focus on strength & conditioning for the Golf, Tennis and sports enthusiast! Your game will definitely improve! A variety of equipment will be used for this exciting class!

Super Circuit with Debbie

This fat burning class utilizes different stations that incorporate both cardiovascular and strength training exercises followed by a stretching segment.

Taoist Tai Chi with Carol Anne:

Taoist Tai Chi is a gentle art of health and well-being for people of all ages and health conditions. The class will work on learning the 108 movements which constitute the "set". The movements are gentle, continuous and circular.  Practice of the set is to be done with a relaxed state of mind. Taoist Tai Chi has been described as a form of 'meditation in motion' where the continuity of its movements, combined with the devotion of one's undivided attention, heal and revitalize both the body and mind.

Yoga with Sue

This is a one hour and fifteen minute vinyasa flow style yoga class. The class begins with pranayama or breath work, followed by a warm up and stretches. The class continues with sun salutations, balance and strength building poses, floor work including abs and deep stretches. The class ends with a relaxation/meditation savasana.

Yoga with Susie Birchenough

Class Description: A complete yoga experience, beginning with meditation, spinal moves, warm-up stretches and moving into poses and/or flow, finishing with savasana. Difficult poses and vinyasa flow are broken down and taught in sequential order.  This class will safely challenge and leave you feeling more alive, awake and peaceful.

Yoga with Weights

This class is taught by a Certified Personal trainer and Registered Yoga teacher. Blending these two elements into one class offer the benefits of muscle strength and length, concentration of mind, balance, and core conditioning. The instructor will coach alignment and technique that is both safe and effective. This workout is suitable for all levels.
